- Provide service consistent with efficient and effective management practices
- Pursue continuing educational opportunities
- Exercise enlightened leadership, demonstrating vision and competence in professional management
- Promote development and improvement of the Certified Public Manager® Program of North Carolina
- Improve communication, cooperation and coordination among state agencies
- Provide opportunities for professional growth of Society members through continuing education
- Promote the development of professionally trained managers as a resource for state government
- Promote efficiency and productivity in state government
- Promote on the part of its members, a standard of behavior which demonstrates a high level of ethical responsibility in the performance of official duties which shall be set forth in the Society Canons of Professional Responsibility found in our by-laws.
